He was a lot more than just a cat.
Curiosa wants to know why, despite all of the playthings at my disposal (and toys that were intended for cats, she likes to point out), my two current favorite past times are batting around an empty toilet paper tube and carrying around an empty spool of wire.
Well....my only response to her question is....DUH!!!

Kommissarie F. Curiosa is a female detective in her mid-twenties delving into the baffling yet somehow tantalizing mystery of the Swedish male in Sweden's chilly capital city. She's a modern-day Mata Hari, infiltrating the grisly underworld of dating in a foreign country.
During the course of her investigation, Curiosa discovered that blogs about dating are an excellent way to get dates. Of course, none of her dates were actually with the strong, silent, Nordic type. Her romantic attention was soon captivated to a fellow expat blogger, who took the interesting and unconventional approach of writing odes to Ullrick. Turns out, the way to a girl's heart is through her cat.
This resulted in a suspension of Curiosa's investigation of the strong, silent Nordic type, but not to fear, her new relationship provides plenty of 'blog fodder', much to the dismay of her significant other.

Garfield always answers, "Because I'm a Cat." Me, I go for things moving under the blankets. Bonnie LOVES tissue paper (and dirty underwear).
Yep, the empty TP tubes are great. For a while I had at least 4 or 5 scattered abouot the house. Then mum came through and picked them all up. I am sure more will be given to me to play with soon.
You should ask her what SHE preferred playing with when little: bought stuff or pots, pans, and boxes! I go with Victor--moving things under blankets (and tissue paper).
You of so few words. Yet, those words speak volumes of how wise you truly are.
You're right - that's what we tell our mommy too when we fight over the empty TP tube.
Oh! I almost forgot! My favorites now are a peanut (in the shell) and a long shoelace removed from a shoe. "The Best Things in Life are Free..." - Money, The Beatles. I would pounce beetles.
